“Lion Stare” is a graphite pencil drawing on watercolor paper.

This portrait is of a young lion who has not yet developed his full mane but is well on his way to becoming one of the “Kings” of the African plains.

The paper he is drawn on has a slight texture which enhances the drawing by increasing the textural look and feel of the fur.
